My name is Tina and I’m addicted to sugar.
My utter desire to load up on the sweet stuff never ends: day after day, week after week, month after month. I’m always looking for some type of junk to stuff in my mouth. Chocolate, cookies and candy bars – oh my. My next sugar hit is never more than a muffin or donut away.
Over the past several months I’ve been doing a great deal of research on sugar (particularly fructose) and the role it plays; not only with our weight but the negative impact it has on our health. From a very young age, this addicting substance has taken over the lives of many. Chances are good that our first sippy cup of juice is where it all began.
And so, in an attempt to get real with myself, get healthy and lose weight, I’m embarking on a sugary experiment. Experts say that it takes 21 days to break a habit. However, I’ll be following along for 8-weeks with this I Quit Sugar book by Sarah Wilson.
Based on the facts that I now know, I’ll be journaling my experience and sharing what I learn with my community and my goal is to share it in a way that is true and easy to understand. You see, much of what I learned through my research was quite technical and extremely confusing for the layperson (me). I hope to be able to put something together for people like me and perhaps even you too?
So, if you are interested in following along or even joining me with Quitting Sugar…why not pick up the book and get started. Reach out to me on Facebook to let me know where you are at.
See you on the other side of sugar!
