Yep! I ate chocolate cake for breakfast. I feel like such a rebel.
Easy Chocolate Mug Cake. Satisfies your chocolate craving while tending to your sweet tooth, without any refined sugar. Now, that’s a chocolate cake I can really sink my teeth into.
My boys were happy to oblige in the taste-testing. I rarely let them eat chocolate for breakfast so they were pretty excited. They did have to finish their regular breakfast before they were able to sample the goodness. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
I actually made two separate versions of this recipe so I’ll share them both with you today.
Easy Chocolate Mug Cake (made with coconut flour) see photo above
*This recipe makes a cake that is more dense.
1.5 tblsp of coconut flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
2 tblsp. mashed banana
2 tblsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tblsp. raw honey
1 egg (beaten)
1/2 tsp vanilla bean powder
pinch of salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Mix all ingredients in your mug.
Microwave for 2 minutes.

*This version make a cake this is more moist but a bit chewier.
3 tblsp. almond flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
2 tblsp. mashed banana
2 tblsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
2 tblsp. brown rice syrup
1 egg (beaten)
1/2 tsp vanilla bean powder
pinch of salt
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Mix all ingredients in your mug.
Microwave for 2 minutes.
That’s it! Easy as cake 🙂
