So, in the event that you want to try out my recipe for the meatloaf for your kiddies, you’ll need to have my sugar-free ketchup recipe as well.
I’m not a big fan of ketchup at the best of times so I only whip up a batch when I need it for a recipe. The kids on the other hand, really love their ketchup.
This recipe is really straight-forward and if you have all of the ingredients, you can generally whip this up in 5 minutes or less. Easy, peasy!
6oz. tomato paste
2 tblsp. apple cider vinegar
1 tsp. prepared mustard
just shy of 1/4 cup of water
pinch of salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
pinch of cloves
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 cup of brown rice syrup (or a couple drop of stevia to taste)
Mix well and cover.
Place in the fridge for a couple of hours (or overnight) to let the flavors marinate.
Stay-tuned for my next post where I will share my fave recipe for mini meatloaf that the kids go bonkers over!
